UnEqually Yoked

2 Corithians 6:14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? (15) What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? What does a beliver have in common with an unbeliever?(16) What agreement is there between the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them and walk among them and I will be their God, and they will be my people." (17) Therefore come out from them and be seperate, touch no unclean thing, and I will recieve you. (18) "I will be a Father to you and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty."

1 Corithians 7:39 A woman is bound to her husband as long as he lives. But if he dies, she is free to marry anyone she wishes, but he must belong to the Lord.

Deuteronomy 7:1 When the Lord your God brings you into the land you are entering to possess and drives out before you are many nations- the Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Caanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites, seven nations larger and stronger than you- (2) and when the Lord your God has delivered them over to you and you have defeated them, then you must destroy them totally. Make no treaty with them, and show them no mercy. (3) Do not intermarry with them. Do not give your daughters to thier sons or take their daughters for your sons, (4) for they will turn your sons away from following me to serve other gods, and the Lord's anger will burn against you and will quickly destroy you. (5) This is what you are to do to them: Break down their alters, smash thier sacred stones, cut down their Asherah poles and burn their idols in the fire. (6) For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord you God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured posession.

Exodus 12: 48 "An alien living among you who wants to celebrate the Lord's Passover must have all the males in his household circumsizend; then he may take part like the one born in the land. No uncircumsized male may eat of it. (49) The same law applies to the native-born and to the alien living among you."

Leviticus 19:18 "Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor of yourself. I am the Lord. (19) "Keep my decrees. Do not mate different kinds of animals. Do not plant your feild with two kinds of seed. Do not wear clothing woven
of two kinds of material."

I don't have much to say in this blog. But it seems to me that it's not about the 'color' of your skin it's about your beliefs. I want to hear from you guys, what do you think?

  1. I'm sure you know how I feel about this! Judging somebody by the color of their skin is absolute ignorance, not to mention predjudice has no place in the life of a true Christian.(Matthew 22:39)Besides,As you say, isn't the most important thing a persons beliefs, character, goals, and values? Especially when chosing a partner...

  2. Agreed. Color of the skin means nothing. We should love everybody like our brothers and neighbors!
